CPR/First Aid Course Information

All ASHI Courses listed below include the course itself, a 2-year certification card as well as an "ASHI Passport" code that will allow you online access to a digital download of the Student Handbook, refresher scenarios, mobile application downloads and email renewal notification.
ASHI Community CPR/AED - $30
This is a 3 hour course that is offered on the first Saturday of every month (unless it is a Holiday weekend) from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. In this course, you will learn basic CPR skills for adults, children and infants as well as how to operate an AED. This course does certify you in American Safety Health Institute Community CPR and AED (ASHI) and you will receive a certification card that is good for 2 years.
ASHI Community First Aid - $30
This is a 3-hour course that is offered on the first Saturday of every month (unless it is a holiday weekend) from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. In this course, you will learn basic First Aid skills for adults, children and infants. This course does certify you in American Safety Health Institute Community First Aid (ASHI) and you will receive a certification card that is good for 2 years.
These two courses are offered on the same day, if you choose to take both courses on the same day we offer a discount of $10, so the total cost would be $50 for CPR/AED and First Aid. It is required that the courses have at least 5 students registered or the course will be cancelled.

Our CPR and First Aid Instructors can come to you at your place of business and work with your schedule! All we ask if that you have a group of at least 4 people to take the class. Please call us for any additional information or to schedule a class. The cost for us to come to you is listed below:
- ASHI Community CPR - $40 per person
- ASHI Community First Aid - $40 per person
- ASHI Community CPR and First Aid (on the same day) - $60 per person
AHA ACLS Provider Course
From time to time, Schertz EMS will host ACLS initial Provider Courses. The cost for this course is $150 and will include the course, a book and a certification card that is good for 2 years. To check dates and times for these courses, please call 210-619-1430. We can also set up private ACLS courses specifically for your employees, give us a call for more details.
AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider
This is a 4-hour course designed to teach CPR/AED through the American Heart Association to Healthcare Providers. We currently offer the entire course for groups as well as individual skills testing for those who have completed the online classroom portion of the course. The AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider certification is good for two years. Information is as follows:
BLS for Healthcare Provider Group Course - $40
Offered for groups of 4 or more, our instructors can come to you at your place of business or we can host your group here at our training facility. Please call our office to set up your group course.
BLS for Healthcare Provider Individual Skills Testing - $25
An individual may take the AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider Course online. Once the course is completed, you will be able to print out a certificate online and can then call our office to set up a time to test your skills. The whole skills testing process takes about 30 minutes and you will receive your card from our office at the same time. The card will be good for 2 years from the test date.

Open enrollment for the September 2017 EMT class will be July 19. Doors open at 8 a.m.
Deposit for class is $500. Remaining balance due on the first night of class. Total cost of the course is $1,000.
