Hosted by Schertz Fire Rescue, in partnership with the City of Schertz and the Schertz Family Y, and Sponsored by GUNN Automotive, Trunk-or-Treat offers a safe alternative to traditional trick or treating. Working alongside the business community, ghouls-goblins; princes and princesses; superheroes and celebrities collect sweet treats, test their skills at games and activities, take a hayride, and walk through the haunted bus. New for 2019...Zombie Laser Tag!

Costume Contest

The Trunk-or-Treat Costume Contest will kick off during the event at 5:30 PM at the outdoor stage near the large pavilion.  

Times and age categories are as follows:
5:30 PM: Age 1 and under
5:35 PM: Age 2
5:40 PM: Age 3
5:45 PM: Age 4
5:50 PM: Age 5
5:55 PM: Age 6
6:00 PM: Age 7
6:05 PM: Age 8
6:10 PM: Age 9
6:15 PM: Age 10
6:20 PM: Age 11
6:25 PM: Age 12
6:30 PM: Age 13 and up
6:35 PM: Group/Family Costumes

Donations of bagged candy can be dropped off at the Parks & Recreation office (10 Commercial Pl, Bldg 1) and the Schertz Family YMCA (621 Westchester Dr). Donations are greatly appreciated!

Sensory-Friendly Hour

The City of Schertz is partnering with SCUCISD Special Education Parents Advisory Committee (SEPAC) and the City of Cibolo to present a Sensory-Friendly Hour on Saturday, October 26 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Pickrell Park prior to the Trunk-or-Treat event.

The hour is a family-friendly time suitable for children with special needs to enjoy a safe alternative to traditional trick-or-treating.
