Mayor, Police Chief Wait Tables for Good Cause Monday

Tips were a bit higher at Chili’s Monday between noon and 2:00 PM as Mayor Hal Baldwin and Police Chief Don Taylor served as celebrity waiters as the Chili’s chain nationwide dedicated all profits on Monday as donations to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
 

A City Council member, City Staff, family members of the Dynamic Duo waiters and local business people waited patiently (and with increasingly loud stomach growls) as the Mayor and Chief did their best to sling hash and get orders right.

 
Lots of laughs and no dropped plates later, the Mayor and Chief were seen sitting down and rubbing their feet. The celebrity waiter event helped the Chili’s in Schertz raise $400 Monday for the St. Judge Children’s Hospital.
