UPDATE: All Southbond Lanes of IH-35 Open After 18-Wheeler Crash This Morning

UPDATE: All Southbond lanes of IH-35 now open.

Just after midnight, an 18- wheeler carrying frozen meat and traveling south on IH35 through Schertz crashed into the exit ramp barricade at exit 175 (Roy Richard Dr./FM 3009)

There were no injuries in the one vehicle accident and officials on the scene expect the highway to reopen between 10:00 AM and noon.

Schertz emergency personnel extinguished the fire within minutes and worked with area law enforcement to help redirect traffic while the scene is being cleared.

The accident is under investigation by the Schertz Police Department.
