The City of Schertz has appointed Adrian G. Perez as the new Executive Director of Schertz Economic Development Corporation. Perez joins Schertz after 15 years with the City of San Antonio Economic Development Department where he specialized in analysis, economic development project management, and most recently workforce and economic development incentive policy development.
“I am delighted that Adrian Perez is joining the staff of the City of Schertz as our new Executive Director of Economic Development,” commented City Manager, Mark Browne. “Adrian’s many years of experience in economic development with the City of San Antonio provides a tremendous value to Schertz, and his demonstrated ability to negotiate quality development projects will be instrumental in continuing the positive growth we have experienced for many years.”
Perez’ experience includes various roles in securing over 30 economic development projects, 8,000 jobs, and over $1 billion in additional tax base for the City of San Antonio during his tenure. Prior to working with the City of San Antonio, he worked with the Middle Rio Grande Development Council where he provided technical assistance to small communities throughout a nine-county region. Perez holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from Texas A&M - Corpus Christi.
