Effective 11:59 p.m. on April 2, 2020 through 11:59 p.m. on April 30, 2020, Governor Abbott has issued an Executive Order relating to statewide continuity of essential services and activities during the COVID-19 Disaster. This order states that, through April 30, every person in Texas shall, except where necessary to provide or obtain essential services as defined by the Texas Department of Emergency Management, minimize social gatherings and minimize in-person contact with people who are not in the same household. The order also continues school closures through May 4.
City events, programs, and services have been impacted by the COVID-19 situation and a full listing of closures and cancellations and city operational changes are provided on our News and Information section of the Schertz.com homepage. The City will continue to share regular updates with residents on Schertz.com, and the City’s Facebook page.
