Hey, friends! You may have read in the July Schertz Magazine about some of the ways Library services will be modified when the building re-opens. Magazine deadlines are a month in advance, so no date was included in the article. At the time, we didn’t have a confirmed reopening date, only the target date of Tuesday, July 7th. With the rise in COVID cases, and because so much of what we do in the building is interactive, a tough decision was made—we will continue to offer our services and materials virtually and through curbside pick-up only for the immediate future. The building will remain closed.
Library operating hours are shifting to allow people to take advantage of curbside services like picking up holds and print jobs on the weekend. Beginning Tuesday, July 7th, the new hours of operation will be Tuesday-Saturday 11:00 AM-6:00 PM. Please be patient as we make this rotation shift; it will require that we close on Monday, July 6th. We continue to offer virtual programming for both youth and adults, our digital collections all remain accessible with your library cards, and if you don’t already have a card with us, you can still apply for a digital access card.
We miss you and will share any re-opening updates on our website and social media when we have them. Thank you for your patience and we hope to see you soon!
