The Comprehensive Land Use Plan update is still well underway, and another Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee (CPAC) meeting is coming up. This is an opportunity to hear what our private consultant, Freese and Nichols, with assistance from the City of Schertz Planning and Community Development Department, has worked on since the previous CPAC meeting.
What has been done so far?
The City of Schertz along with Freese and Nichols held 5 focus groups with members and stakeholders of our community. These included homeowners, business owners and developers, boards and commission members, the city’s development team, and representatives from Randolph Air Force Base & Joint Base San Antonio. There have also been two previous CPAC meetings. The first was May 24th, 2023, and the second was July 26th, 2023. The July 26th CPAC meeting was a joint session between City Council and the Planning and Zoning Commission.

There will be two more CPAC meetings with the next being on September 27th, 2023. This CPAC meeting will be held before the regularly scheduled Planning and Zoning Commission meeting. This will also be a public hearing and we would like to hear from you. The city is inviting you, or anyone who may be interested to attend. You will have the opportunity to voice your opinion, interact with Freese and Nichols, or just listen.
