Do we have Charity Care?: Yes, we have a Charity Care Policy. Effective October 1, 2019, if a patient does not have the ability to pay for the ambulance services, the City of Schertz EMS Department can make the determination if the patient is a charity care patient. Please contact our office for more information.

1. What payment types are accepted?: We accept cash, check, money orders, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.

2. Is there a fee to use a credit card?: No, we do not charge any fees to use a credit card.

3. Who do I make payment payable to?: Schertz EMS

4. What are the billing office hours?: We are open Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm.

5. Can I make payments?: Yes, we accept payment plans. Minimum payment of $25.00 per month.

6. Do we charge interest or late fees?: No, we do not charge interest or late fees. We do charge a 30% collection fee on the outstanding balance in the event the account goes unpaid and has been sent to a collection agency.

7. Do I have to return the insurance request form?: Yes, the insurance request form needs to be filled out, signed, dated, and returned to us so we can file a claim to your insurance.

8. Why did I get a bill?: Each insurance policy varies. In the event you have a balance, contact us to set up a payment plan.

9. Do we have Charity Care?: Yes, we have a Charity Care Policy.
