Schertz residents are allowed 12 free bulk pick-ups in a calendar year. Collection of these items will be scheduled on your next recycling day (the following week). The deadline for requesting Bulk Pickup is Friday by 1 p.m. each week, in order to schedule pick up on your next recycling day.
All items are limited to no more than a standard truckload. All items for bulk pickup must be placed on the curb by 7 a.m. on your corresponding recycle day. We currently do not offer bulk pick-up for commercial customers, apartment complexes, and residents of Pecan Grove. Note: Any request submitted during a holiday will be processed the next business day.
Permitted items: Brush, limbs, wood (to include fencing material) must be 4ft long & bundled or tied with rope/twine, moving boxes must be broken down and tied together, newspaper, magazines, glass, household items (i.e. couch, dresser, table, etc.), and household appliances.
• Please note that refrigerators, freezers, and A/C units will be collected only if refrigerant has been removed and the appliance is tagged and certified
Non permitted items: Computer monitors, box style televisions, construction material, tires, fence post, concrete, and hazardous materials – to include items containing freon.
