    Join local resident, Kristin Freisenhahn, as she teaches a class on everthing you need to know to get started with scrapbooking in just a couple hours. You don't need any supplies for this class, just something to write with. Registration is encouraged. This program will meet in Library Meeting Room 2 (Children's Library).

  5. Beginning Quilt as You Go Lessons

    June 20, 2019, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Meeting Room 1

    Patti, a local resident will be teaching on-going quilt as you go lessons for those interested in learning to quilt beginning Tuesday, February 5th and Thursday February 21st. She will teach a block at a time from beginning to end, while each class will build upon the previous class, those interested in getting started are always welcome to attend any time. She will teach the same lesson twice a month, one afternoon and one evening. The supply list will be provided at the first class.

  6. Tee Off for the Library Fundraiser

    June 22, 2019, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM @ Schertz Public Library

    The Schertz Library Foundation is once again sponsoring a mini golf fundraiser event inside the library. The mini golf course will be open on Saturday, June 22nd 10 AM-6 PM, and will give residents of our community an opportunity to experience the library in a new exciting way together. This will be a family fun event for all ages! All proceeds from this event will help the library add sound mitigating panels to the library foyer, in an effort to reduce noise and reverberation. For $5.00 per person you get to play the 18 hole course and will receive a hot dog, chips & drink. The library will be closed to regular business during this event.

  7. Short Story Writing Workshop

    June 25, 2019, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM @ Meeting Room 1

    Join veteran publishers and editors, Max Booth III and Lori Michelle, as they lead an 8-month drop-in course on writing an effective short story. The first session will be held Tuesday, April 23rd at 6:30 PM and will go through November 2019. They will teach topics including: characterization, dialogue, how to avoid plot pitfalls, mistakes short story writers make and how to make your story marketable. This program is intended for adults and older teenagers (15+). Please bring a notebook and pen with you to the workshop and note that it is up to the writer how many sessions they wish to attend in the series, but topics will be different each month.

  10. Paint Party w/ Personal Touch paint Parties (18+)
