    Due to the great success of the first Community Shred Day event, the City of Schertz will be offering another Shred Day on Saturday, May 5. Please note the address has changed; while it will still be held in the Hal Baldwin Municipal Complex, the shredding event will take place at Community Circle Dr, Schertz, TX 78154 between the hours of 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Shredding for this free event is professionally provided by the shredding company, Shred-It. This event is rain or shine. This on-site shred event is for paper documents only; hard drives or any other materials will not be able to be shredded. To help ensure a quick drop-off of documents, we ask that you remove them from binders and take off any binder clips prior to coming out.   2. Nature Discovery Series - Discover What’s Swimming

    Does your little one enjoy being outdoors and searching for creepy crawlies? Do Mom and Dad want to get the family outside more enjoying time together? Then the Nature Discovery Series is for you! The program is designed for families with elementary-aged children, but older and younger siblings are welcome. Guadalupe Chapter of Texas Master Naturalists volunteers lead the themed programs which are listed below. The program is free, but pre-registration is required. Please call the Parks & Recreation Office to register at (210) 619-1850. Space is limited. Discover What’s Swimming There's secret life in water. With dip-nets and clear containers, we capture and discuss macroinvertebrates, habitat and food chain. Terms used; upstream, downstream, oxygen, diversity, larva, nymph, adult.

  3. Music in the Park featuring Mariachi Las Coronelas

    May 5, 2018, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Pickrell Park

    Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at a Music in the Park event Saturday, May 5 featuring Mariachi Las Coronelas, an all-female Mariachi band led by Vanessa del Fierro! There will be additional activities for kids to enjoy. Gather your friends and family, bring your chairs and blankets, and come enjoy an event for all ages.
