Those younger may attend a future class with the consent of a parent who has previously attended.
Please note that this is a lecture format and not a "how to" or step by step of how to get out of every single active shooter event with 100% guarantee. While we attempt to make it as interactive as possible, there will a very few simple scenarios or walk throughs due to time constraints and quantity of attendees.
Topics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, civilian response options, medical issues, and considerations for conducting drills. Schertz EMS will be having a Stop the Bleed class from 11am-12pm which covers how to slow or stop hemorrhages commonly found at active shooter/attack scenes.
