The library quilt bee meets twice a month, the 2nd Tuesday and 3rd Saturday from 12-3 PM both days. This is a come and go program where each quilter is working on their own projects. This group is great for beginner and advanced quilters. We also have several experienced quilters that attend the Bee, who are always willing to teach those interested in learning! Pre-registration not required!

Schertz EMS will be conducting a public CPR/AED and First Aid class on Saturday, March 21. CPR/AED will run from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM and the First Aid course will run from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Both courses will be located in the EMS training room and will certify the students for two years. A card will be provided at the end of the course. The cost is $30 for one course or $50 for two courses.

The Music and Movies in the Park series showcases a variety of live bands and movies and was established by the Schertz Parks and Recreation Department in 2016 as an initiative to get the community to come out and enjoy their local parks. We encourage everyone to bring lawn chairs, refreshments, friends, and neighbors out for a free day of entertainment.

The ASHI CPR/AED course teaches you how to recognize cardiac arrest, activate emergency medical services and respond appropriately until additional assistance arrives. It also covers how to respond to urgent choking situations. This course covers information regarding adults, children and infants. Successful completion of the course will result in a two-year certification.
The ASHI Basic First Aid course covers first aid basics and prepares students to deliver first aid in a safe and timely manner for both adults and children. It also shows how to prevent injuries and illnesses. Successful completion of the course will result in a two-year certification.
