Applications may be obtained from Schertz Municipal Offices at 1400 Schertz Parkway, Schertz, Texas 78154. You can download the job application, print it out; complete it and either fax or mail it in to us by the close out date. If you need more work history than what is on the back, make additional copies of the back of the application as needed and be sure to sign and date it. The fax number is in the upper left-hand corner of the application. If you fax the application, we will accept it if received by the end of the day on the close out date, however, we still require that you either mail in or drop off the signed original. Applications will be accepted by mail provided the application is complete, signed, and received by the closing date. Please do not submit copies of birth certificates, driver licenses, social security cards or photo identifications with the application. Police Officer
The City of Schertz is accepting applications for Police Officer position in the Police Department. This work is general police work protecting life and property and enforcing laws, ordinances, and regulations. Requires physical strength and stamina; demands emotional stability to work under stressful and trying conditions. Requires the basic certification by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education, current Texas drivers license, high school graduate or GED equivalent, and must pass written test and extensive background and criminal check. Starting pay for this position is $18.52 per hour, which includes an excellent employee benefit package. Salary increase after successful completion of probationary period, based on evaluation of performance.
