Tri-County Parkway Reconstruction

On November 12, City Council awarded a construction contract to D & S Concrete Contractors for the reconstruction of part of Tri-County Parkway. D & S Concrete Contractors started the project on January 22, 2020. Tri-County Parkway from the I-35 Frontage road to Corridor Parkway was reconstructed with a concrete pavement section. Concrete pavement is needed due to heavy traffic, particularly with larger trucks on this section of the roadway, and the drainage in the area. In order to minimize the length of construction, the entire section of the road was closed. A small portion of Corridor Parkway at the intersection with Tri-County Parkway was also reconstructed into a new concrete pavement section. The new pavement was completed and Tri County Parkway was re-opened the evening of March 2, 2020. The contractor is still doing some clean up and are mobilizing out of the project area. One final item, centerline striping, will be done once the new concrete pavement has cured some more. Thank you for your patience as we completed this needed reconstruction project.
