Virtual Adult Programs

The Schertz Public Library is dedicated to keeping our patrons engaged in these uncertain times. Below you will find virtual programs and entertainment available online in place of our in-person programs that have been put on hold. We will continue to update virtual programs, so check back often. Also, be sure to check out the many electronic resources available to you with your library card! 

Monthly Kits for Adults
Kits are released on the 1st business day of each month and are only available while supply lasts. Craft kits can be picked up inside the library at our take and make shelf or via our curbside service. 

JULY-PATRIOTIC EARRING CRAFT KITS
This month the library is offering "Patriotic Earring Craft Kits" for our adult patrons. Craft kits will be available while supplies last both from our Take & Make pickup station and through curbside service. Kits will be available the first of the month.

AUGUST-TISSUE PAPER POMPOM KITS
This month the library is offering “Make Tissue Paper Pompom" kits. This kit also comes with instructions on how to access the library’s newest crafting database CreativeBug. Once you have established a free account with CreativeBug you can explore a variety of crafting tutorials and videos. We have a limited supply of craft kits that can be picked up in the library or via curbside service. This service is made possible by a grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services and Texas State Library and Archives Commission (Grant #LS‐246561‐OLS‐20). 

SEPTEMBER-BASIC LINE DRAWING: FLOWERS
In September, the library is offering “Basic line drawing" kits. This kit also comes with instructions on how to access the library’s newest crafting database CreativeBug. Once you have established a free account with CreativeBug you can explore a variety of crafting tutorials and videos. We have a limited supply of craft kits that can be picked up in the library or via curbside service. NPR List of Virtual Concerts
NPR Music is compiling a list of live audio and video streams from around the world, categorized by date and genre, with links out to streaming platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
Met Opera Streams
Each day, a different encore presentation from the company’s Live in HD series is being made available for free streaming on the Met website, with each performance available for a period of 23 hours, from 7:30 p.m. EDT until 6:30 p.m. the following day. The schedule will include outstanding complete performances from the past 14 years of cinema transmissions, starring all of opera’s greatest singers.
