This summer you can read, make, and explore to earn prizes at the library!
Read
Read anything you want, from books to magazines to audiobooks. You can read library books, your own personal books, or any combination. Complete 6 books or read for 6 hours...you choose!
Make
Make 6 things of your choice and describe them on your experience log.
Explore
Explore 6 places and tell us about what you did. You can explore anywhere (parks, museums, libraries, hobbies, or attend library programs).
*1 hour of reading can be substituted for any make or explore category.
Completion
Bring your completed experience log to the library by July 29 no later than 4 PM. Email your completed card to librarian@schertz.com if you are unable to get to the library before July 29.
Summer Reading T-Shirt
After completing the experience log and the program, bring it to the library to pick up your summer reading experience t-shirt (while supplies last).
Once you have completed the summer reading experience. Register for our Year-Long Extreme Book Nerd Reading Challenge for ages 5-Adult or our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program for our youngest patrons ages 0-5 years old.
