
Schertz Junior Academy
Each year the Schertz Police Department hosts a Junior & Teen Academy to give young children a behind the scenes look at how the Police Department operates. Participants will have an opportunity to gain an understanding of police operations through specialized presentations and hands-on activities.
The academy will be held at the Schertz Police Department.
Requirements
- Commitment to attend all sessions (Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to Noon).
- Be 11 - 17 years of age.
- Be a resident of or zoned to a public or private school within the city of Schertz.
- Turn in a completed application with a parental release and a medical release.
Classes are limited to 20 students per session.
2024 Camp Dates (TBD)
- Jr. Police Academy (11-13 years of age): June
- Teen Police Academy (14-17 years of age): July
Applications (PDF) can be picked from the lobby of the Police Department during normal business hours or downloaded.
