Winter Reading Challenge

Library Winter Reading 2023-2024Welcome to the 2024 Schertz Public Library Winter Reading Challenge. This is a free reading program open to all ages. The Winter Reading Challenge runs from Saturday, December 16th - Wednesday, January 31st. In addition to our reading challenge, be sure to check out the online calendar for exciting winter programs, including a visit from a magician!

Winter Reading Challenge: Reading is Magic!

Accept the challenge December 16, 2023 through January 31, 2024. 

Cuddle up with great books and make reading a habit this winter! The whole family (Kids! Teens! Adults!) is invited to join the Winter Reading Challenge. Read 5 books or read 5 hours (you choose!). Turn in your completed reading log to be entered to win a raffle prize.

How it works:

Sign-Up:

  1. Register online or in the library.
  2. Print or pick up your reading log.
  3. Choose to log 5 books or 5 hours.
  4. Record your reading on your reading log.
  5. You completed the Challenge!

Finishers:

Turn in your reading log. Submit reading logs in person or email the document to librarian@schertz.com to claim your completion prize (while supplies last).
