The City of Schertz will be performing street maintenance in the Arroyo Verde Subdivision beginning May 14. Streets will be CLOSED during the maintenance project. Reference the map below for road closures. This project will help to significantly extend the life of asphalt streets. The benefits of this maintenance include higher property values, smoother and safer driving, and reduced costs to the community in future upkeep.
ROAD CLOSURES:
May 14- Arroyo Del Sol & Arroyo Seco
May 15- Arroyo Sierra & Arroyo Seco
May 16- Arroyo Verde
May 17- Arroyo Verde
May 18- Arroyo Dorado & Arroyo Verde
PLEASE TURN OFF ALL OUTSIDE SPRINKLERS FOR 24 HOURS BEFORE, DURING AND 24 HOURS AFTER WORK IS COMPLETE
WHERE DO I PARK MY CAR?
While your road is closed, you may park on the street in any open area outside of the work zone. No vehicles will be allowed on the newly treated road surfaces until the road is reopened. Please do not park within 50 feet of any road being worked on.
WHAT IF MY CAR IS PARKED ON A ROAD THAT IS CLOSED?
We will begin work at 7:00 A.M. and vehicles will be allowed to exit the area up until 7:30 A.M. The streets being treated will be closed for 24-36 hours. If your vehicle is on a street that will be blocked by adjacent surfacing work, it will have to remain until the work is complete. If your vehicle is on the street when work begins, it will have to be towed to the end of the area.
WHAT IF I DRIVE ON THE ROAD WHILE CLOSED?
Please do not attempt to drive on the road while it is closed as this may cause damage to your vehicle and several thousands of dollars of damage to the newly treated surface. Schertz or ANDALE CONSTRUCTION IS NOT responsible for damage to your vehicle or to the newly treated road surface. In the event of an emergency, emergency vehicles will never be stopped.
