At the November 18 Special City Council meeting, the City of Schertz swore into office a new Mayor and two new Councilmembers after the November 5, 2019 General and Special Elections. Mayor Ralph Gutierrez was sworn into a three-year term, Councilmember Rosemary Scott was sworn into a three-year term in Place 2, and Councilmember Michael Dahle was sworn in to fill the unexpired one-year term for Place 4. Councilmember Mark Davis was re-elected into a three-year term in Place 1 and was sworn in at the December 3 City Council Meeting.
During the special meeting, the City also recognized our outgoing Mayor Michael Carpenter, and outgoing Councilmember Cedric Edwards. We would like to thank them both for their outstanding service to the City of Schertz!
