Current City Road Construction

RoadWorkNews (1)

Make driving through Schertz easier by staying up-to-date on current construction projects going on throughout the City.

Schertz Parkway

Starting on Monday, June 7th at 9:00 a.m. the southbound travel lanes of Schertz Parkway will be closed between Woodland Oaks Drive and East Live Oak Road. Two-way traffic will be transferred to the northbound travel lanes. Thank you for your patience as we complete the concrete repairs on Schertz Parkway. Please slow down, pay attention to the traffic control devices and allow extra time to travel through the project area.

Cibolo Valley Drive

The Cibolo Valley Drive bridge over IH 35 will be closed on Tuesday night, June 8, starting at 9:00 p.m. The closure is to allow the contractor to remove the existing striping and re-stripe the bridge. Please use the detour routes shown in the map to get around the bridge closure and please use either the FM 3009 or FM 2252 exits to access Cibolo Valley Drive. The bridge will re-open the following morning (Wednesday, June 9). Along with the bridge re-opening, the new traffic signals will go into full operation (Red-Yellow-Green). Please drive slowly, pay attention to the traffic control devices, and allow extra time to take one of the detour routes. We will issue another notice if the weather causes any delays to this work.

Live Oak Road

Starting on Tuesday, June 1st between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. the eastbound lane of Live Oak will be closed between Schertz Parkway and FM 3009. The westbound lane of Live oak will remain open to normal traffic. This means you will be able to drive from FM 3009 to Schertz Parkway, but will not be able to drive from Schertz Parkway to FM 3009 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. To get from Schertz Parkway to FM 3009, we suggest using an alternate route, such as Woodland Oaks or Elbel as shown on the detour map. Normal two-way traffic on Live Oak will resume outside of the 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. work hours. Thank you for your patience as we complete the concrete improvements to the south side of Live Oak.
