Last year, Boy Scout Troop 51 helped place over 4,500 flags along Schertz Parkway and we are looking to continue this patriotic gesture. The City of Schertz is looking for your help to complete this project again this year. We hope you can join us as we celebrate our nation's independence with a large patriotic display along Schertz Parkway!
Volunteers will meet on Friday, July 2nd in the parking lot adjacent to the Johnie McDow Sports Complex at 955 Community Circle Drive at 7:00 a.m. Small groups of up to 5 people will be assigned a section of Schertz Parkway. At 7:15 a.m. groups will drive to their assigned locations then place flags along the parkway. This volunteer group is expected to be large, so please bring your own safety vest, wagon for supplies, and a hammer or mallet if possible.
If you would like to volunteer please sign up online today or email Event Specialist Michelle Yang.
