[ARCHIVED] Schertz Councilmember, Rosemary Scott resigns

Rosemary Scott

Schertz City Councilmember, Rosemary Scott has resigned from City Council due to health concerns effective February 16, 2022. Scott was elected to City Council Place 2 in November of 2019 to serve a three-year term on City Council.

Scott commented, “It has been a pleasure being part of the City Council. I am so proud of all that we have accomplished and have no doubt that the Council will continue these successes in the future.”

Following Scott's resignation, City Council may by a majority vote of the remaining council appoint a new council member to fill the vacancy or call a special election to fill the vacancy. Councilmember Place 2’s term will expire in November 2022.

“On behalf of all of the residents of Schertz, I want to thank Councilmember Scott for all of her service to our great city. We wish her well and all the best in her future endeavors,” stated Mayor Ralph Gutierrez.
