Eckhardt Road Mill and Surface Treatment
The City of Schertz is partnering with Guadalupe County to have heavy maintenance performed on a section of Eckhardt Road from the entrance to the Parklands Subdivision past the intersection with Green Valley Road. The City is purchasing materials and Guadalupe County is providing labor and equipment to perform a more complete maintenance effort than continuing to address individual potholes as they appear.
Milling of Eckhardt Road is anticipated to begin in March. The road will be resurfaced with chip seal treatment during the Spring.
Old Wiederstein Road Project
Old Wiederstein Rd. will be closed for construction from Cibolo Valley Dr. to Dean Rd. April 18 to May 13. The closure will be every Monday through Friday starting at 8:00 a.m. each day and it will be reopened on the weekends. Detours and alternate routes will be in place as shown on the map below.
